Tahir Hall is a Poet and Chess Instructor based in Washington, DC. He facilitates dynamic and inclusive lessons around poetry as a vehicle for healing and discovery. Multi-talented, he also enjoys teaching and creating chess programming for novices to advanced players.

While his passion for chess started at a young age (his tournament trophies were often taller than him), his appreciation and affinity for poetry came later. He honed his talent for the spoken word through disciplined writing, local open mics, writing groups and by vulnerably sharing with trusted friends and family.

Today you will find him facilitating a poetry learning session at a local school, or virtually for a corporate team. When it comes to chess, keep an eye out for him and his board at DuPont Circle in D.C. on a sunny weekend day, or in a local classroom.
